Bastion Point Construction Update - 06/10/22

Works onsite at Bastion Point are continuing to progress at pace.

On site, piling works are now complete and tested, pile caps have now been cropped to a specific height in accordance with structural engineers design.

Currently, our groundworks contractor is carrying out the reduced level dig, in order to form the ground beams which forms the building’s foundation. This will be promptly followed by the internal drainage and road connections. The forming of ground and first floor concrete frame to form parking area - will swiftly follow.

This coming month will see the huge mound of inert waste removed from site to allow space for welfare, a materials compound and contractors car parking area.

The archaeological watching brief is now complete (without any findings of any significance) and due to the sites location close to Liverpool Docks, a detailed unexploded ordinance (UXO) in depth risk assessment has been carried out by specialists SafeLane Global – who concluded its low-risk classification.

Our principle contractor Abrey Construction has issued a letter of intent to our chosen specialist steel formed section (SFS) erector who will form external/internal structural walls, floors and roof. This facilitates the contractor to procure materials at a ring-fenced price, whilst also committing to issue detailed design information.

More good news - we are currently forming a sales area on site with allocated parking where our investors will be afforded the opportunity of viewing progress from a safe viewing point, and discuss any issues with our team of in-house experts by prior appointment only. Details of how to arrange an appointment will be released in our next monthly bulletin.

We are on target to achieve completions towards the end of Q3, running into Q4 2023. Our on and offsite teams are committed to achieving every aspect of our stakeholders expectations, and look forward to delivering of our flagship project in Liverpool City Centre.

Offsite we have our application with Liverpool City Council to discharge all planning conditions, all those involved have been extremely helpful throughout the process.

Exciting times ahead for all involved as works continue to gain momentum, and we will keep you all informed with our monthly updates and images.
