Deakin's Yard Development Update - 25/10/2024

We are thrilled to share the latest developments at the site, where progress continues to unfold rapidly. Since our last update, the transformation of the building has been nothing short of remarkable. A substantial portion of the façade is now complete, showcasing the modern design that will define this exceptional development.

One of the most striking changes is the removal of scaffolding along most of the King Street side, which has opened up the area and provided a clearer view of the structure as it takes shape. With both water and electricity fully connected across the site, essential services are now in place, marking a significant step toward the building’s operational readiness.

The external render on the front façade is nearly finished, and we anticipate that the scaffolding will soon be completely removed from the building’s main frontage. This will reveal the full aesthetic of Deakin’s Yard, providing an exciting glimpse of the high-quality finish that sets this project apart.

Inside the building, final testing is progressing well. Our dedicated team is diligently working to complete system checks and sign-offs in the coming weeks. These thorough inspections are critical to ensuring that all aspects of the building meet the highest standards of safety and functionality. From electrical systems to plumbing and HVAC, every detail is being meticulously reviewed, paving the way for a smooth handover process.

As we approach the final stages of construction, we remain committed to delivering a project that not only meets but exceeds expectations. The anticipation is building, and we are excited to share more updates on the completion of this market-leading student development. Deakin’s Yard promises to be a vibrant addition to Newcastle-under-Lyme, offering an exceptional living experience for students.
